Connecting With Your Consumers On A Personal Level
May 19, 2010
Ever get side tracked by people asking you questions online or coming to your facebook page and posting things that just don’t seem to fit your product or business? If so, how did you handle it? Did you remember to keep a personal relationship or did you respond in a robotic manner?
Many people seem to forget to take advantage of the opportunity to connect with their consumers on a personal level. More often, I see answers to questions on social media sites are generic and not very reassuring. This can be a big downfall when trying to build personal relationships via social media.
Postings should be consistent and even. You know as well as I do there is nothing more aggravating than seeing a facebook page giving 25 updates all in a matter of hours on Monday, and then nothing else posted until Friday.
Just being consistent with good information every day will keep readers attention up and always excited to see what you have to say.
Being creative, thinking outside of the box, and looking for ideas from your followers will help you soar above the rest. Listen to what the people tell you, respond in a timely manner to questions, and get on the same level as the people you are talking to. Using these strategies will help you gain the respect and recognition that you desire in the social media world.
